NHL Names Finalists for 2022 Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award
The Countrywide Hockey League has announced that Noel Acton, Meredith Lang, and Ryan Francis have been named finalists for the 2022 Willie O’Ree Local community Hero award.
Noel Acton, Meredith Lang, and Ryan Francis make up the 2022 nomination team, with the award remaining presented to an individual who “has positively impacted their group, society, or modern society by hockey.”
Noel Acton is the founder and govt director of The Tender Bridge, a non-earnings supporting above 500 youth in East Baltimore for 20 yrs. The organiation runs the Baltimore Banners hockey team, which offers at-possibility youth a positive local community, and an possibility to request larger schooling, safe work, and break the cycle of violence in their communities.
