XL Axiata Presents 5G Internet Network on Bali Island

Telset.id, Jakarta – XL Axiata has again expanded 5G network coverage in Indonesia. Recently, Balinese people can now access high-speed 5G internet network from XL Axiata at predetermined locations.

according to Director of Technology & Chief Technology Officer of XL Axiata, I Gede Darmayusa, company set Bali as one of the priority locations for the implementation of the 5G network.

The main reason, Bali is considered a tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists from all over the world.

“We chose Bali because Bali is one of Indonesia’s storefronts. Every year, millions of domestic and foreign tourists come to Bali,” he said

XL Axiata 5G Network Locations in Bali

In the early stages, XL Axiata introduced the 5G internet network in the form of a demo and educational program for the people of Bali. The aim is to educate the people of the Island of the Gods about the network and its benefits for the application of technology.

“This event is one of the stages of XL Axiata’s preparation to roll out 5G services commercially and massively later,” said I Gede Darmayusa.

The location of the 5G network is at XL Center Sunset Road. The location is located at Jalan Sunset Road No. 818, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali. At the demo location, customers who already have a cellphone with 5G network support can try the fifth generation internet directly.

But for those who don’t have a 5G device, they can still access it via email various 5G service demos are displayed. Starting from cloud gaming, 4K video streaming, 360 degree camera for live video streaming, and also VR glass.

Previously, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics stated that XL Axiata passed the Operational Feasibility Test (ULO) to roll out a 5G network in Indonesia in August 2021.

XL’s ULO 5G pass is stated in the Operational Eligibility Certificate (SKLO) received by XL Axiata management. After that, since August 18, 2021, XL has started to roll out 5G services in several cities, such as Jakarta, Depok, Bandung, Yogyakarta and Surabaya.
